Compassionate Care for Adults who are Stuck and Overwhelmed

There comes a point where after struggling for so long, we can start to feel like this is as good as it gets. Or the depression is who I am, or that I'm just an anxious person. I am the type of person who can't rest or can't access peace. But in between extra low low points, you experience glimmers of yourself as a whole authentic version that, while not totally free from the chaos of this world,  is often steady, connected, and unburdened from the internal heaviness.

This is what it feels to be integrated, to have all parts of yourself fully engaged for the ride of this life. Where you have access to your wise self, you readily extend compassion to yourself and others, you care for yourself meaningfully, you have energy more often than not, and you know that no matter what happens, you're going to be okay.

I'm psychologist, therapist, and recovered perfectionist Tabitha Echavarria. My clients work with me because therapy with me feels like two humans having a real and deep conversation that makes sense. I am interpersonally warm, engaged, honest, and think out loud. I draw from coherence therapy, attachment theory, trauma-informed approaches, and my background in psychological assessment to help you understand why your patterns exist and how to shift them in a lasting way.

Many of my clients come in because as they've moved into their adult lives, there is a disconnect between who they thought they'd be and how they are currently experiencing themselves. Many felt different, disconnected or misunderstood growing up and it has taken a toll on them over all this time. Often folks have had mental health conditions since childhood, such as OCD, that was missed or improperly treated. Others, have histories of childhood trauma or significant experience that seems to have left residue on their lives despite feeling fully ready to let go.

You're not broken or a lost cause even if you struggle with overthinking, depression, internal debates, self-sabotage, or shame narratives (what is wrong with me?). if you're craving more authentic and enjoyable relationships with yourself and others, book an appointment. If you are looking for a therapist to help you understand how unhelpful patterns developed and would like to work at their roots so that self-doubt and self-criticism no longer have to run the show- give me a call.

Mindful Psychological helps you better understand your brain and improve your relationship with yourself and others as a result.  Tabitha guides clients safely and effectively inward, to co-create lasting change. Rather than coping harder, forcing change, or just taking deep breaths, you will connect with your your inner knowing and values, release pain and uncertainty, and ultimately feel more empowered and capable of living more authentically, with greater agency, clarity, and less overwhelm.
