Hello
I'm Dr. Tabitha Echavarria. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am licensed in Washington state and have authority, through the PSYPACT commission, to provide telehealth treatment to clients across 40 states .
My expertise is in adult psychological services including therapy as well as diagnostic and personality assessment. Clinically, I work to assist you in leading a more fulfilling authentic life despite inevitable pain. I enjoy humor and transparency. Therapeutically, I understand we all make a lot more sense than it may appear on the surface. I utilize principles of coherence therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, and values work tailored to my client's needs to uncover and overcome psychological barriers impeding their quality of life.
Additionally, I have specialized training in the treatment of psychosis, and the development and implementation of group programing. My research area of expertise includes harmful "psychological treatments" such as behavior modification and wilderness programs, conversion therapy, and the "troubled teen industry." I am extremely passionate about accurate mental health education and de-stigmatizing mental health concerns.
What else? I am personally and professionally considerate about systemic issues and their impact on your emotional and physical health. For fun, I enjoy wandering around outdoors, painting, arts & crafts, and hanging out with loved ones.
